Viagra Sandwich
Last Saturday I was watching this “Diners, Drive-ins and Dives” in food network channel where Guy Fieri (the host) visits classic diners in America and features their own specialties. That day‘s episode was sandwiches and burgers and it made me crave for it. Then I remember a friend of mine was telling me of a diner near his flat and have this “Viagra Sandwich”. I got curious what it taste like, what’s with that sandwich and why is it called “Viagra Sandwich”?
Then yesterday I got a chance to visit the diner with my two friends. It is a small diner along the streets in Adliya where an Irish restaurant is located as well; they called the diner “Hey Hotdog”. It is a typical American diner with the black and white checkered flooring, old pictures on the wall and some classic long play disc hanging on the ceiling.
Inside we were greeted by three friendly kababayans (countrymen) working there, Ronnie, Carlo and Daisy. As soon as we came in we ordered our food and of course I ordered their specialty called the “Super Viagra”. While waiting for our food I asked Carlo about the Viagra sandwich, and he said it was introduced from UK, it was really unclear to me what he was telling or I’m just not listening properly because I was focused on Ronnie cooking our orders lol…All I know is that Viagra was made in Sandwich England and I think that was he’s trying to tell me. Anyway this Viagra sandwich is stuffed with different kinds of seafood with a special dressing and the caviar (fish egg) which is the expensive from all the ingredients and this make the sandwich special, but no any erectile drugs into it haha..It’s just the name.

For me it’s like a seafood salad inside a footlong bun,but it taste so good. Another great experience again for me and i would love to go back there and have this again and try other Hey Hotdog specials as well.

Hmmm… I think it’s called viagra sandwich because of the caviar. It’s considered as an aphrodisiac.
they have also the giant burger and it is really huge haha..your right maybe it is because of the caviar. thanks for reading 🙂
